I saw the rain, the flakes and flames
and I made a wish they'd somehow thaw your face
froze and encased in a far off place
inside the empty heart of a wasted space

out in winter, life is cold and bitter now
and I can't retrace your aura through the glaze
I’ll get a taste of you one of these days
til I do, I'm the place where cold fire forms a blaze

fiery heat and a cold winded chill
vie to prevail, thus threaten to kill
a billowing fire burns deep in my heart
and casts out a haze to my brain from our days apart

out in winter, life is cold and bitter now
and I can't retrace your aura through the glaze
I’ll get a taste of you one of these days
til I do, I'm the place where cold fire forms a blaze

passion ignited in too high a dose

you longed for the warmth but you got too damn close

layers of numbness now lining your heart

and nothing can save you from falling apart

out in winter, life is cold and bitter now
and I can't detect your aura in this glaze
I’ll get a taste of you one of these days
til I do, I'm the place where cold fire forms a blaze
