Her name was Chanelle
She was a beautiful gal
But she was too good to be true
Why does fate have to be cruel

if you would only listen
then you'd hear the screams
coming from your mouth like a bitter breeze
like a whirlwind blowing on the evergreens
you don't have to scream
when i'm in your face
covered in my sweat but you're water-based
so you drip into a puddle and you slip away

Say baby got back
She's got a beautiful rack
But nothing's as real as it seems
She's falling apart at the seams

if you would only listen
then you'd hear the screams
coming from your mouth like a bitter breeze
like a whirlwind blowing on the evergreens
you don't have to scream
when i'm in your face
covered in my sweat but you're water-based
so you drip into a puddle and you slip away

Oh, Chanelle...

Pull yourself together
Before you fall apart
We're in for rainy weather
Pouring on a broken heart

you're drowning in my tears
and i'm drowning in you
puddle of Chanelle
bloody puddle of a gal
bloody puddle of Chanelle

if you would only listen
then you'd hear the screams
coming from your mouth like a bitter breeze
like a whirlwind blowing on the evergreens
you don't have to scream
when i'm in your face
covered in my sweat but you're water-based
so you drip into a puddle and you slip into the haze
